Daniela worked as a senior research scientist within the Food & Nutrition – National Bioscience Research Infrastructure group at the Quadram Institute, where she combined her research and scientific knowledge with her innovation and entrepreneurial skills to promote the development and implementation of personalised nutrition resources. She has been involved in two EIT Food – funded projects, Quality information services for personalised nutrition (Quisper) and Personalised and connected food service providers (PERSFO) and, more recently, in an EU-H2020 project, Food and Nutrition Security Cloud (FNS-Cloud).
Her working experience involves different roles, such as clinical dietitian, innovation manager and project manager. Her research interests are focused on personalised nutrition, gut health, and molecular nutrition. She is particularly keen on translating scientific outputs into innovative products, tools and/or apps that help to promote a healthy lifestyle among consumers.
Daniela has a background in human nutrition and dietetics and holds a specialization in Molecular Nutrition and Toxicology from Wageningen University (NL).
