It’s an ultra-healthy and incredibly convenient whole-food… but what if you’re not really a broccoli fan, or really hate eating soup with bits in it?
Fear not – there are all kinds of ways you can change the flavour and texture of our soup to your taste without affecting its health benefits. Here are our favourite tips, tricks & tweaks for making soup day a day to look forward to!
Making our soup is as simple as adding 250-300ml of water and stirring well – but if you’re finding it too thick to enjoy, or hate soup with bits in it, here are our two top tips for tweaking the texture.
We suggest adding 250-300ml of boiling water for a bowl of our soup – but feel free to add more or less depending on how like your soup.
If you’re finding it too thick or a bit thin, try adding a little more or less water until it’s just how you like it!
Our soup is made with real broccoli, hence the bits – but not everyone enjoys soup with bits in it.
If you’re looking for a different texture, try blending with some yogurt or cream to make it smoother – or add some chopped vegetables to make it chunky!
Everyone has their own health goals, so we deliberately don’t add much to our soup to make sure it’s suitable for everyone. That helps make it super healthy as it’s low in sugar, salt and fat – but it can taste a little bland.
Luckily, you can add whatever you want to our soup. So whatever your tastes and dietary requirements, there’s sure to be some seasonings, spices and sauces that will make your weekly bowl pop.
We keep our soup low in salt - but feel free to add some yourself, along with a generous grind of black pepper!
Some fresh chopped chilli - or a dash of any good hot sauce - adds some fire and a kick to your bowl.
We love adding freshly chopped basil & parsley - or stirring in a teaspoon or two of rich green or red pesto!
We're fans of a sprinkle of smoked paprika, cumin, curry powder, or a little garam masala to transform things.
Add fresh or sun-dried tomatoes, roasted peppers, or some braised mushrooms!
Sprinkle on toasted sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds or pine nuts to add a delicious crunch.
Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice - or your own favourite table sauce!
Try grated cheese, crème fraîche or cream cheese for a creamier, more indulgent soup.
Our soup is biologically active, so it's a little bit sensitive. Just add boiling water, or stir in after cooking.
Avoid cooking with it on the hob or reheating it in the microwave, as this can affect its health benefits.
